| all i can think of is this song
"Too Little Too Late"
You can burn your paper fingers in the ashtray
Place your swollen lips on mine
You can shave your heavy head in my carpeted hallway
Sure for the first time you're wearing the right clothes
Now take them off
Meet me on the band room rug
Tie my right hand to the ride
You can take a live wire into the bath with you
For a feeling you can't find
You can entertain your childhood friends with a tour of the bedroom
Laugh to erase the dirt on your mind
Oh let's move out
Meet me at the motel
Tie my right hand to the bible
Too little too late but we can't say no
It's too much to feel
Tie my right hand to the bible

| so i am almost furious. I am so frustrated that I am well aware that I am singleing people out and offending them and i don't care. All week several months now i had been looking forward to Melissa's birthday party, thinking it would be totally bitchin; she'd finally get to meet and love Gwen, and I'd get to meet Moses, not to mention the rockin location, the City Museum, which i had only gone to once before. But it couldn't go smoothly; no. It had to be a complete pest; one thing after another that i will now list in obnoxiously large-bullet form.
- To start with all week Gwen had been dragging her feet about going to the party, which I had told her about months before.
- Wednesday Gwen decide to inadvertently volunteer at Pet's Mart all saturday, meaning she couldn't go, even though she'd been thoroughly forewarned of the situation.
- I asked Jordan to go because, ehh, I'd still be nice to know someone there besides Melissa. She was unsure and ended up not being able to go anyway.
- fast-forward to Saturday: We lost our game agains MICDS meaning that we will end up in a shitty bracket at Districts. Not directly related to the party, but it re-inflamed my frustration.
- My plan is to leave by 6:15, but I am strong armed into making dinner at 6:20 because my mom hadn't started, but wasn't really doing anything.
- At 6:40 i go to leave, and realize that i have no monies. I ask Pappy for my lawn mowing monies but miraculously neither he nor Mom have cash, so I have to wait longer for him to run up to Schnucks and get money. This was nice of him, but it still made me frustrated.
- I get to where the directions tell me to go, eventually, and just park, because I don't see the Museum and figure that it'd be better to hoof it than waste gas. I walk around, looking for the Museum and then realize that I parked right across from it.
- I go in and meet Melissa and Moses. they, however are the only ones there, because all of Melissa's school friends are hung-over from prom. At this point i feel that it can only go up since the frustration is seeming to be shifting toward Melissa.
- Three more people show up and we decide to go out to the sculpture. There we meet an additional three, but loose Moses. Everyone starts calling for him ("how many Moseses can there be here?") and then some one spots him, so we all move toward him. He starts walking away, so I start running. I catch up with him and put my hand on his shoulder and tell him that we've been looking for him and that he should wait up. he punches me in the stomach. fantastic. so we have to sort out why hes being, let's say, irrational, and comfort Melissa because now her boyfriend that she never gets to see is acting ridiculous at her birthday party. not to mention that she's already upset about only 8 out of 30ish people showing up.
- Sarah and Molly have to leave, and I volunteer to take Heather home when I leave. That means we all have to find Molly's car so we can get Heathers stuff. This only takes thirty minutes. It turns out none of them remembered where Molly's car is.
- While on this car quest I realize that I have lost my wallet.
Fuck. This was what I was looking forward to. this was supposed to be a rad time. I can usually handle the little things that come up, but these just didn't stop. The fantastic succession made it very difficult to enjoy myself; in fact, I think the only reason I did was because I keep telling myself so.
PS: I won't be too offended if i get a ton of TLDR's as comments
